Continue in the app
The app keeps history across devices and for your crew. Its Mexicano scores each game to a target of 11, 15 or 21 and does not allow tied scores, so the match total and tie-breaks here do not travel. Only the roster and courts travel, not scores. Quick play in the app needs a crew you admin.
Start Mexicano in the appHow the night works
- Choose Mexicano or Americano, then set 4 to 24 players on 1 to 16 courts. Each court takes four players, so the courts in use never go above the players divided by four.
- Set the match total, from 16 to 32. Every match is played to that total, so the two scores you enter add up to it. 16 is our default. The total is fixed when the night starts.
- Mexicano: round 1 is drawn at random. Enter both scores for every court, then press Next round. The next round is the PickleCrew app's own Mexicano plan. Players who sit out are chosen first, the rest are ranked by points per game, then win share, then point difference, and cut into fours from court 1. Inside a four, 1st and 4th play 2nd and 3rd, unless that would repeat the round before's partners.
- Americano: the rotation is set before play and never changes with the scores. It is the same chart as the round robin generator. The tool says how many rounds it has, whether it partners everyone once for your numbers, and who sits out each round.
- If a match ends level, Mexicano needs a winner, so the tool asks who took the tie-break and counts it in the standings. A match stopped on the clock is entered at the score it stopped on and marked ended on time; the tool does not fill in the missing points. Americano takes a level score as it is.
- Standings are ordered points per game, then win share, then point difference for Mexicano, and points per game, then point difference per game for Americano. Players level on every measure share a place.
- End the night to see the final standings. The night is saved on this device, so a reload or a locked phone loses nothing.
Frequently asked questions
Which formats does it run?
Mexicano and Americano, for pickleball and padel players. Pick one before you start. A saved night keeps the format it started in.
How many players and courts does it handle?
It runs 4 to 24 players on 1 to 16 courts. Each court takes four players, and an Americano rotation never uses more than 6 courts. The setup line shows the courts in use.
What match totals can I use?
Any total from 16 to 32. 16 is our default. Padel guides and generators list totals such as 16, 21, 24 and 32, so pick the one that fits your clock.
How does Mexicano choose the next round?
It uses the same plan as the PickleCrew app's Mexicano. Whoever has sat out least sits first, then whoever did not sit last round, then whoever has played most. The rest are ranked by points per game, then win share, then point difference, and cut into fours. Inside a four, 1st and 4th play 2nd and 3rd unless that repeats last round's partners, in which case 1st and 3rd play 2nd and 4th. Exact ties are drawn at random.
How is the Americano rotation made?
It is fixed before play and comes from the same engine as the round robin generator. The scores never change who plays whom. Whether everyone partners everyone depends on the numbers, and the page shows what your numbers give. The roster is locked once the rotation starts.
What if a match ends level or is stopped on the clock?
Mexicano needs a winner for every match, so a level score asks who took the tie-break, and the standings say how many wins are tie-break wins. A match stopped on the clock is entered at the score it stopped on and marked ended on time. Americano takes a level score as it is.
Is my night saved, and who can see it?
The night is saved on this device, in this browser, and you can reload or lock your phone without losing it. Names and scores stay here and are never sent anywhere. They reach PickleCrew only if you choose to continue in the app, and then only the roster and courts travel, not the scores.
How is this different from the PickleCrew app?
The tool lives in this browser and keeps one night. The app keeps history across devices and for your crew. The app has a Mexicano mode, but it scores each game to a target of 11, 15 or 21 and does not allow tied scores, so a fixed match total and tie-breaks do not travel. The app has no Americano mode. Starting in the app needs a crew you admin.
